The 2011 Shongum School Cash for Creativity Program had another successful year. In addition to the wonderful donations made from our parents we had an additional donation from the Randolph Education Foundation (REF). Through this program the PTA directly supports the teachers by purchasing materials so they can implement their creativie ideas in the class room. The bottom line is that the children’s curriculum is enhanced through these teacher initiated programs.
This year’s recipients were:
Mrs. Cirelli, Mrs. Patterson, Ms. Scillia, Mrs. Nimmo, Mrs. Kessler and Mrs. Wurst to purchase new materials for the Fundations Program.
Mrs. Giousios to purchase an Insignia-2.0 USB Speaker system.
Mrs. Moschella for the purchase of new books for the Rising Readers Program.
Mrs. Fromme for the purchase of a new rug and seat sacks.
Mrs. Daly for the purchase of Ipods and audio books.
Mrs. Grunert for the purchase of 30 Communicator Clearboards and accessories.
Mrs. Giousios for the purchase of a SamCam 860 Document Camera.
Mrs. Velez for the purchase of new reading materials to help support the Readers Workshop program.
