Shongum Holiday Shop

November 24th, 2014 · Uncategorized

Once again, Shongum’s Holiday Shop will be open December 2nd through the 5th. Flyers and envelopes were sent home last week. You may send in cash, or make checks payable to Shongum PTO. If you would like to volunteer, please go to http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508094ea4ac2ba64-holidayNew this year – you can preview many of the items that will be available online at Holidayshop.org! Students can look online before they come to the store, create a shopping wish list, and make certain they have enough money for their purchases. It is a great way to help your child choose that special gift! (Please note: some items may not be available at the time your child comes to shop, so encourage them to have a few choices in mind.)

Shongum Parent Running For Board of Education Position

October 19th, 2014 · Uncategorized

The Shongum PTO Board thanks Mrs. Diana Thomas, our Shongum parent running for a Board of Education appointment, for taking the time to speak to all those present at our meeting on Friday, October 17th. There is no doubt Dr. Thomas would be a valuable asset to the Board of Education. Her expertise, enthusiasm, and the goals she would like to accomplish if elected make her an ideal candidate. We encourage everyone to read more about Dr. Thomas, as well as the other individuals running for a Board of Education position, by clicking on the attached bios.  Shortened Bios (1)  You can also check out their joint Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ElectAulenbachContiAndThomas. We also encourage all Shongum parents to spread the word about the candidates, drum up community support, and most important, to go out and vote on Tuesday, November 4th!
